Why PLANT BASED Nutrition is Important?
Why is nutrition important in the natural healing processes of the body?
Here you will find a solid, evidence base of how our cells love plant based nutrients and how you can best choose supplements with these.
Is there a relationship between what we eat and inflammation?
As a physio I'm always interested in aiding the natural healing mechanisms of the body so that movement can be restored or corrected. For example: George sprains his ankle and it starts swelling straight away...but this happens all the time to George, at least once a month! and he keeps coming back to me every month!
The swelling is the body's natural response to injury.
Hot! Painful! Throbbing! Can't move!
There is standard treatment for this that works but why wasn't it helping in the long run.
DO YOU REALLY KNOW HOW THE BODY WORKS I asked myself and started a journey into the depth of our anatomy...THE CELL
Then I started thinking and came across an article about Inflammation that opened my eyes to what is really going on inside our bodies...Nuclear Powerhouse!! Just think about the 9 months a baby grows in its mother's womb. We are made up of over 1 TRILLION cells and in 9 months all these cells are formed and they have their designated function. WOW! This Powerhouse needs the best food it can get! As I write this my wife is pregnant in her 3rd month...the amount of food going into her is amazing!
But is she getting the right food?
Link to Facebook article. So my study into inflammation opened up the world of what our cells need to function optimally and thereby aiding natural healing and eventually helping George with more than just his ankle!
Further study led me to an amazing resource in this field by an author who's intent is to educate her audiences. And so I started finding the secrets to what the cells scream for and why.
